1:1 Therapy vs coaching

 

1:1 Therapy

-Helpful to process past experiences and re-integrate core beliefs in a meaningful way.

-May be short-term / solutions focused(8-12 weeks),
may be long-term(1+ years).

-May be a better fit if you feel there is more to process in your past that currently affects your present and/or future.

-Licensing may play a role in session choice/availability.

1:1 Coaching

-Helpful to focus on present & future oriented goals / plans.

-May look like a single session or ongoing supportive relationship depending on situations & desired goals(4-6 weeks).

-Trauma processing is typically not incorporated into these sessions but trauma-informed and liberation oriented.

-May be a better fit if you seek support in clarifying your vision, future goals & identifying steps to get there.
